What kinds of cases does WindForce take?

Four kinds: storm and insurance claim disputes, construction defects, premises liability and code safety cases, and storage tank failures with or without an environmental release. All of them come down to the same question — What does the physical evidence show? — and that's the question we answer.

Do you work for plaintiffs or defendants?

Both. We've been retained by insurance carriers and by policyholders, by owners and by contractors. The analysis doesn't change based on who hired us, and that's precisely why our findings hold up under scrutiny.

What if the engineering doesn't support my client's position?

We tell you as clearly as possible before you've spent serious money building a case on it. We take cases where the evidence supports the opinion we'd have to give — if it doesn't, you'll hear that in the first conversation (not in the report).

Where do you work?

Nationwide. We've consulted on cases in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Florida, and New Jersey. The firm is based in Galveston, Texas, which puts us within a day's drive of most Gulf Coast sites.

How does an engagement start?

Get in touch using our contact form, where you can share the basics of the case. We run a conflict check first, then review what you have — pleadings, photos, adjuster reports, inspection history. If it's a fit, you get a scope and fee structure before any work begins.

When should I bring you in?

Before the evidence changes. Once a roof is replaced, a tank is scrapped, or lighting is retrofitted, part of your case goes with it. If the site's already been altered, call anyway — records-based analysis can still get you a long way, and we'll be open and honest about its limits.

Has your expert testified before?

Yes. Our experts have worked forensic cases for over a decade — several dozen engagements, a dozen depositions, and trial testimony. We explain engineering in terms juries and fact-finders follow, which matters as much as the analysis behind it.

What's in the written report?

The site measurements, the applicable code sections cited by edition, the causation analysis, and the opinion — each conclusion tied to documented evidence. It's written knowing opposing counsel will read every line looking for a soft spot.

What does this cost?

We bill hourly, with separate rates for investigation and testimony. You'll have the full fee schedule before you commit to anything, and the early case review tells you whether it's worth spending at all.

How do you handle confidentiality?

Case information stays privileged. Conflict checks run before we hear the details, and nothing about your matter appears anywhere — not in marketing or in conversation with other clients.
