WindForce Forensics
Effective Date: Friday, July 17, 2026

This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, what we do with it, and what we don't do with it. We've written it in plain English because that's how we work. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll give you a straight answer.

“We” means WindForce Forensics, the forensic engineering and expert witness practice of WindForce, Inc., headquartered on Tiki Island, Texas. “You” means anyone visiting this site — most often an attorney, claims professional, or property owner looking into whether we're the right engineering expert for a case.

Information You Give Us

You can browse this entire site without telling us anything. We collect information only when you choose to send it:
  • Contact form and email: Your name, firm or company, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us about your matter.
  • Consultation scheduling: If you book a call through our scheduling link, Calendly collects your name, email, and selected time under its own privacy policy.
  • Downloads: If you download one of our resources — like our checklist of questions to ask a forensic engineer — we ask for your name and email address in exchange.
  • Phone calls: If you call us, we keep notes on the conversation the same way any professional practice does.

A Note About Case Information

Attorneys and adjusters sometimes describe active litigation or claims when they contact us. Two things to know. First, contacting us through this site does not create an expert engagement, and you should not consider anything you send here privileged until we have a signed agreement. Keep initial descriptions general. Second, we treat everything you send us as confidential business correspondence, we run conflict checks before discussing case specifics, and we never use case details you share for marketing.

Information Collected Automatically

Like nearly every website, we use analytics and cookies to understand how people find and use the site:
  • Analytics: We use Google Analytics and similar tools to see things like which pages get read, how visitors arrive (search, AI assistants, referrals, ads), and general geographic region. This data is aggregated — we're looking at traffic patterns, not tracking you personally.
  • Cookies: Small files that help the site function and help us measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
  • Server logs: Our hosting platform records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond when you reach out about a potential engagement
  • To run conflict checks before discussing a matter
  • To send you the resource you requested, plus occasional articles and updates relevant to construction litigation and insurance claims (you can opt out any time)
  • To understand which content is useful so we can publish more of it
  • To operate, secure, and improve the website

What We Don't Do

We don't sell your information. We don't rent it, trade it, or share it with anyone for their marketing. We don't buy lists, and we don't add you to anyone else's.

Who We Share Information With

We share information only with the service providers who make this site and our communications work — our website platform (Webflow), analytics providers (Google), scheduling (Calendly), and our email service. Each processes data on our behalf under its own privacy terms. Beyond that, we disclose information only if the law requires it — a subpoena, court order, or similar legal process — or to protect our legal rights.

Email Communications

If you download a resource or ask to hear from us, we'll send occasional emails. Every one includes an unsubscribe link. Click it and you're out — no follow-up, no “are you sure” sequence.

Data Retention

We keep contact records and correspondence as long as we have a business reason to — which in a litigation-adjacent practice can be years, since conflict checks require knowing who we've talked to. If you want your information deleted, ask, and we'll remove what we're not required to keep.

Security

We use reputable platforms with standard security controls, limit access to people who need it, and don't collect more than we need. No website can promise perfect security, and we won't pretend otherwise — but we don't ask you for sensitive personal or financial information through this site in the first place.

Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of certain processing. Our practice is simpler than the statutes: email us and tell us what you want — a copy of what we have, a correction, or deletion — and we'll handle it within 30 days.

Children

This site is built for attorneys, insurance professionals, and property owners. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and nothing here is directed at them.

Links to Other Sites

We link out to codes, standards bodies, and other resources. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy covers only this site.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. We won't quietly rewrite it to do something this version says we don't.
